Doctor who- Camera angles masculine/feminine

Paranoia- laura, daisy, ellis

Here you can see I have created a paranoia, I used many camera angles such as eye view, high angle and low angle. Throughout my video i have thought carefully about the 6 aspects such as rule of thirds, head room, looking/lead room, framing of shots, manual controls and 180 degree rule. I believe throughout my video i have taken this into account to make my paranoia video the highest standard it can possibly be.

Rule of thirds: I found it really hard to keep the rule of thirds rule when videoing, i tried to make sure my main objects fit perfectly onto the grip lines. If i did this again i would make sure my head in the scene is on a line.

Head room: I believe i used the head room well when creating my paranoia, the space between the top of the subjects head and the top from of the composition was good. My subjects eyes are places in the top third of the composition. I think i have put the right amount of room above my subject.

Lead room: On the first scene of my video i think the lead room was perfect, were i was standing and when the characters came walking in was the perfect position.

Once upon a time in the west- Sounds

What sounds can you hear? (When carrying out this question i shut my eyes to analyse it better)

Door shutting- foley, sound motif
Man talking- dialog, establishing sound, sound motif
Owl- ambiance
Footsteps- foley, establishing sound, sound motif
Bucket dropping
Child playing trumpet
Water- foley, sound motif
Thriller
Dark atmosphere- ambiance
Money- sound motif
Pulling chains- establishing sounds
Dog crying- emotional realism, sound motif
Fly- establishing sound, sound motif
Day time now- ambiance
Laughing/crying- foley, emotional realism, sound motif
Buzz- ambiance, establishing sounds, sound motif
Man blowing
Falling of a chair
Mate am train

What does this tell you about the characters?
When watching this sequence there is no dialog, I believe this is telling the audience that the characters are waiting for the same thing. The theme is set in the west which makes it a cowboy film, from watching these genre of films before the characters don't normally speak alot.

Why is there no dialog?
This sequence contains no dialog because its creating tension and mystery, it makes the audience wonder whats going to happen next and ask questions about the film to there self. The director has done this to make the film more interesting.

Ambience the character and atmosphere of a place.

Foley is the reproduction of everyday sound effects that are added to a film.

Dialogue a conversation between two or more people as a feature of a book, play, or film.

Emotional realism the same sound can serve both the physical and the emotional realism.

Establishing sound is sound that establishes, from the very beginning of a scene, the general character of the surroundings.

Sound motif a sound effect of sounds that are associated with a particular character, settings situation or idea through the film.

7 edit

I have made this trailer too test out the app fine cut, I learnt how to use filters to add effect to my trailer to create mystery and suspense thriller theme. During the making of the trailer I intercut pictures and videos to make the trailer a professional standard. Also I learnt how to make my sequence up to 20th century standards by making a personal pattern of pictures and videos.

match on action Daisy and Laura

Match on action is a technique where you merge different angles on the same video together to make it quicker and more professional, this is used in many films to cut out the unneeded bits. We created ours on final cut pro by adding clips in certain places and adding the other shot for them to play smoothly and not jared. by using match on action in a clip makes it look more professional and doesn't jump through the clip but also cuts out the unneeded sections and keeps the audience engaged.
